Dave is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario/University of Toronto
with an honours degree in performance piano. After graduating, session
workstarting flowing in Toronto and as a freelance keyboardist, composer,
arranger, Dave worked with many artists in a wide variety of styles including
Triumph “Surveillance” (MCA Records), Rik Emmett “Absolutely” (Duke
Street/MCA & Charisma Records) both of which went Gold in Canada.

After touring 2 1/2 years with Rik Emmett in support of Absolutely, Dave had
enough of the road and formed his own music production company &
recording studio, D&D Music.

Initially, D&D Music specialized in music for advertising doing spots for
DMB&B, Saatchi & Saatchi, Grey Canada, Grey Retail, Context Marketing &
Communications, Great Ideas Advertising and numerous direct clients
including Kumon Math & Reading, The Academy of Learning, The Cottage
Life Show, CES Show & Sale, Sporting Life, Moyers, Life Time Kitchens,
FIFA World Cup of Soccer, then later diversifying to include specialized
audio projects for Naylor Event Management, Nelvana, Buzz Bee Toys,
Thinkway Toys, Play Along Toys, Danawares Corp, for products such as
Max & Ruby, Dora The Explorer and The Backyardigans.
